Heat and Ice Pack for Breasts
The breast gel pads are designed to help offer relief from soreness and discomfort associated with breastfeeding including blocked milk ducts and engorgement. They are designed to fit with ease inside your bra (nursing or normal), around your breasts and nipples, and even your breast pump! They are fantastic to use heated while pumping or expressing to assist with easing the flow of milk as you pump. Our breast gel pads are also great when heated to helping antenatal expressing of colostrum too! (always consult your doctor or midwife before doing so).
When frozen, the breast pads can be used as an ice pack to help offer relief from engorgement, pain from inflammation, mastitis, blocked ducts and overall discomfort that can be a result of breastfeeding.
Each pack contains a pair of breast heat/ice packs and disposable covers.
How to Use?
For cold therapy: Place in freezer for approximately 2 hours or submerge in icy water until the desired temperature is achieved.
For hot therapy: Submerge in hot water or microwave for the suggested times (20 seconds for a 700 watt microwave, 15 seconds for a 1000 watt microwave or 10 seconds for a 1200 watt microwave). Heat in additional 5 second increments until the desired temperature is achieved.
Then slip pack into a cover and apply for the medically recommended time of 20 minutes. Wait until skin returns to normal temperature before reapplying.
To clean: Wash with warm, soapy water.
Do not ingest or insert pad into the body. Do not use on infants. Use on children only under adult supervision. Avoid use on highly sensitive skin. Do not use on open wounds. Overheating may damage or destroy gel bead pads. Discard if damaged. Test gel bead temperature prior to use.
